Garden Assessments

A Garden Assessment with Faren is the starting point for every new client. These 1-hour consultation visits are offered all year and they are for gardeners of any level, whether you have an established garden or want to create a new one.

Garden Assessments are helpful for assessing existing conditions and planning a strategy to help your garden thrive.

We’ll work on clarifying your goals and I’ll help you determine what to grow and where. My approach is holistic. We zoom in on you, what you and your family want to eat and how much presence you have in the garden. And we zoom out to how your garden fits in the broader local ecosystem.

After you request a consultation, I will reach out to schedule a brief call to talk through which type of assessment is most helpful for you and set up your site visit appointment. We can meet in person or virtually.

Comprehensive Package

KGMV will perform a detailed site assessment and document recommendations for your garden.

On site, we’ll examine the light, soil, and water system conditions as well as your garden structures, workspaces, and storage setup.

Deliverables include a written summary of recommendations, one laboratory soil test plus interpretation, a garden basemap or conceptual sketch, and a seasonal guide customized for your garden.

After your Garden Assessment, KGMV is here to support you with follow up visits.

Site Visit: $150 for up to 1 hour on site, $400 for a package of 3 over the course of the season (recommended for gardeners seeking lessons!)

Check-in Call: for when a 30 minute phone call will suffice, $65

Payment is due when we schedule your appointment.

I bill separately for additional site analysis and landscape design services.
